I Miss These Days

Went to NTUC just now.
First time doing grocery shopping after nearly 2 months.
Instinctly, picked up brocoli, carrots, mushrooms and pears.
Then chicken drumstick, canned tuna and crackers.
Lao Gong
You remember these are the staples that we buy almost every week?
I miss doing grocery shopping with you..with our little green bags to Coles and Woolies - comparing prices, stocking up on toilet paper, controlling ourselves not to buy (too much) bacon and chocolates.
I look forward to these days again.

These things make me smile

I had the time today to go through my treasure boxes.
2 boxes full of letters, cards, notes, autograph books that I've accumulated since Pri. Sch.
From the friendship poems "roses are red, violets are blue.." to the encouraging verses from youth group mates, each piece has captured a snap shot of my life. I'm thankful for all these memories and thankful for every friend who took their time to hand-make me beautiful cards and to write me meaningful words.
These are indeed my treasures. In this age of emails and ecards, I seldom receive a card or letter by the mail (except for wedding invitations nowadays!). The aged pieces that I now keep will perharps be antiques in their own time.
I remember the silly things that I did so many years ago.
The nicknames, the "hobbies", the places that I went.
Each memory brought a smile to my face.
And these are the things that matter to me most. :)

Fun Day Out

Had a long Sat out.
Started with tennis session in the morning. Well, that in reality, only lasted for about 30 mins as I learnt how to serve and catch 1 or 2 balls here and there. Rest of the time I was in the gym running. Hee..
Then we went KTV. I'm hopeless at singing..yet still go KTV. Dunno what's wrong with me. :) But we went on Mamma Mia Mania that day. Look at all the ABBA songs we selected!

Then we went for nice dinner at Fisherman's Wharf @ Clarke Quay. Nice, fresh, fish and chips.

And that's where I supposedly became the clown of the day.
LY gave a birthday present to SZ. It was a flower that grows out of a metal can.
Someone said the metal can got the scent of the flower.
I took a sniff. Come on! Where got?? Only the scent of the metallic can!

That's when the 3 of them burst of laughing, saying that how can one smell metal, and they started getting all their drink cans and asking me to differentiate. Some friends they are.

After the metal can saga, we went to Settlers' Cafe.

Had hilarious time playing some silly games. We love the jurassic park game and the slamwich game. Also played the ghost game, monkey tree game and the real estate game. Made alot of noise..but everyone else did the same.
