1 of 120 Days

I woke at 5am this morning. Body still thought I'm in Brisbane (coz it should be bright shining 7am back there...the usual time I've been waking up for the past 2 weeks). So I'm going to make good use of this "confusion". Meeting Siew Chin for gym tomolo morning. Yah, we said we better go back to our regime or else...

Great to be back at work (never thought I'll say that). But everyone is especially nice..coz from my puffy eyes, they correctly guessed that I flooded the airport yesterday. Well, I basically cried from Blythe Street (hubby's house) all the way back to Jalan Tenteram (my block). Basically soaked hubby's shirt, the plane seat and my bed. Drama? Hee...should have witnessed the scene at the departure gates.

Guessed I over-estimated myself. Thought I could hold on better and come back brag about it to my colleagues. But at least I know I won't need to sleep with diapers over my head, that's for sure. I thank God though, for allowing this little 4-mth separation (120 days), coz it made us realised we can miss each other so much.

Today is Day 1 of 120 days. I'm counting down...with hope and joy, coz I see alot of light at the end of the tunnel.

O Week

This week is the start on Orientation for hubby..or O-week for short. Accompanied him for yesterday's program...but am staying at home today coz today's program only meant for students. An "illegal immigrant" without a student card can't attend. So here am I, with the whole morning and afternoon to.......do work (hope my boss sees this). Hubby couldn't believe I actually brought work along...ha, the convenience of a little thumb-drive.

This is officially my 10th day in Australia. Don't really have the feeling of being a tourist. Maybe that's good, coz maybe it means that I can really get used to the life here. But first, before I come over, I will store up all the HK, Jap, even korean movies in my hard disk. We're deprived of TV shows here. Night-time is boring. Imagine, buses stop running from 6pm onwards.

It has been a good 10 days. Time passed slowly..and I pray it will pass even slower for the next few days. We've been to Boonah, Gold Coast and of course, Brisbane city.

Nice things happened - Brook Cottage was heavenly and John Williams is a lovely old gentleman.

Funny things happened - Spent 1 hours plus trying to get home from city (trip back from Gold Coast). Thanks to hubby giving wrong info on train station. Should have alighted at South Brisbane station...but we went from Roma to Central, then back to Roma station. Well, that was a little adventure in itself.

Scary things happened - Everyday I will have "Encounters with the Creepy Crawlies". Scariest was the big spider at Brook Cottage.

But most of all, thank God for all things that happened. For the very fact that we are here safely and enjoying our second honey-moon.

Today is the Day

Finally, we're leaving for Australia today (or should I say early tomorrow morning). We'll be at the airport from 9pm onwards.

It's been an eventful year...lotsa waiting and right till last night, when we couldn't check in using the internet and pushed our panic buttons again. But thank God we were able to check in successfully through the phone this morning. Nearly got the seats beside the wings again (sigh, I was telling hubby that we might have that "Wing Face" look. whenever we check in, we will be offered the seats near the wings). We're now right at the end of the plane....far away from the wings. Must break the "Wing Face" curse. hahaha.

Hubby's looking forward to the start of his new chapter in life.
I'm looking forward to our second honeymoon and spending Valentine's Day at a little cottage in the outskirts of Brisbane...surrounded by mountains. Romantic leh?

I think I will be OK for the next 4 months. I can't guarantee that I'll not cry at the airport on 26 Feb. Probably I'll still flood the airport gates. But once I come back and my dear boss start piling me with work, I'll be fine. Heee...and not forgetting Orh-Ni and Ash at home, and Chanel, Gucci and 5 little fishes in office.

I'm also looking forward to a new chapter in life...in 4 months time. Finally, we will be able to lead a "Er-Ren-Shi-Jie".
