Dreams Do Come True

I was clutching my fists as you checked your results yesterday.
I could hear the clicking of the mouse over skype...and when you told me
you cleared everything, I cried.

Tears of joy.
After 9 years of hard work, you've done it dear.
Only the last step to take the professional exam and you can get your "potato chop" and be a full fledged architect.
Yes, you took a longer route. But I never doubted you.
And I'm so proud of you, for being able to sustain your passion for so long. Your perseverance and determination was our impetus for living a life different from our peers.

I'm excited now.
No matter what plans God has for us next year, I know it will be good.
It will be truly a new phase of our lives.

Dreams do come true.
Dare to pursue them.

Honeymoon's Over

My personal trainer started me on serious training today, after all those conditioning sessions.
It was tough!
Now I understand why those people in the gym need to yell and shout to push themselves.
I can foresee myself doing that soon. :(

My legs are so weak at the end of the session that I had to take taxi home.
My shoulders are so tired that I had difficulty lifting my arms to go thru my beauty regime (cleanse, wash, miracle water and anti-wrinkle cream).
Mum ask me why I'm walking like a duck.

I still have 6 sessions with him.
Either I break or I conquer.

Luxury Stay @ Fairmont

Mum and I were very blessed on Fri. Her colleague gave her a free night's stay at Fairmont Hotel (former Westin Stamford) at City Hall.

Mum initially told me over the phone it was Raffles Hotel. Made me soooo happy. But it turned out to be Fairmont, coz to her, every hotel in that vicinity is raffles hotel. Haha. Well, still a 5 star hotel. Still a blessed gift. :)

The room was nice and cosy, and the bathroom was big. I love the thick bathrobes and the nice touch of putting a little card telling us the weather for the next day. Mum and I went to get a big bottle of foam bath from Marks and Spencer. It was heavenly soaking in the bubbly bath and listening to symphony music piped into the bathroom.

We had fish head curry for dinner coz Mum had the Raffles Hotel gourmet card. Original price was $50 bucks, but we only paid $25. The waiter looked at us when he served the curry. He laughed and told us to take our time eating it...coz it was HUGE! Hee....
