500 words....
It's only a 500 word assignment, weighted at 10%.
Welcome to the first assignment of the 'Professional Communication' course, aka the 'English Intensive (Torture) Course'.
Marks will be deducted:
-for every wrong punctuation, tense and spelling.
-if you don't write clearly using simple words.
-if your sentence don't make sense and teacher asks 'so what'.
-if your sentences do not flow after one another.
-if you use redundant words.
After all these deductions, I wonder how much of the 10 marks I will get. So it is driving me nuts. I don't know how to survive the 50% assignment.
You will see my talk English, hear English, read English, dream English and breathe English for the next 2 months. I wasn't under so much pressure even during Mr Saunder's GP class in NJ!!
Over the last 48 hours, I have given up on digging into the differences of 'a' and 'an'; 'that' and 'which', 'shall and 'will'. God bless me in my latest topic: 'effect' and 'affect'. BTW, my assignment is to write a guide for students to help them understand some basic concepts in grammar.
