Big Red Plastic Bags
I must have looked so auntie-ish today.
Was at NTUC and was trying to figure out which brand of curry mix I should buy (yeah, I'm stocking up for singapore food drought when I arrive in OZ in another 2 weeks time). Another auntie came up to me and asked if the packet I was holding in my hand was a "good packet of curry mix". I've never used any kind of such instant mixes before, but I still answered intelligently and said it should be (because it's from a known brand), and it's ON OFFER. $0.82 for a packet.
On the bus, I struggled with 1 big red plastic bag and 2 NTUC plastic bags. Another auntie asked me. "Buy so many packets of tissue, give people ah?" I answered nonchalently "No, for my own use". The auntie gave me a look of disbelieve.
Last night, I already struggled with another 2 big red plastic bags. Coz I had a really good buy at a factory outlet store at TPY. 2 GAP jackets for $40 bucks! And very decent looking as well. They were comparable to the $89.90 ones I saw at John Little, and at 1/4 of that price!
I hope that's the end of my big red plastic bag adventures. I've finished most of my stocking up. Left some little shopping to do here and there.
