New Semester
Finally settled my courses for this semester. And now $6,300 poorer in the bank account after paying my school fees today.
Last semester was all about the cheem cheem theories. Even my lecturers were from the academic side - means they talk in cheemology language.
This semester is very different. All 3 courses involve alot of practical work. For 1, we will be doing lots of negotiation. Even negotiating our assignment due dates and their weightage.(serious!) The other 1, we will be going to companies to learn about their organisational change processes. For my group, we are going to look at the merger of 2 schools. The last 1 is most interesting. It's a small class of 11 (including me) and at the end of the semester, we need to organise an event to communicate a science topic to the public. Any science topic under the sun can be our topic. Previous events include shows on earthquakes, debate on recycled water in a pub...the whole objective is to make science more approachable...coz science is about everyday life...and not all science is cheem-talk. And we will be visiting science centres, museums and critique on the way they present their science topics.
Hee....so fun.
